Privacy Policy

Effective September 9, 2026  ·  Last updated September 11, 2026

Sage Calc ("we", "us") is operated by Ingenium Synergy, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Texas. This policy explains what information we collect when you use sage-calcs.app, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

The short version

We collect your email address so you can have an account. The numbers you enter are sent to our servers to be computed. Those inputs are used to answer that one request and are never stored, logged, or linked to you or your account. Project names, engineer names, saved files, PDFs and your calculation history stay on your device. We do not sell your information, and we do not run advertising or third-party tracking.

1. Information we collect

WhatWhenWhy
Email address When you create an account To identify your account, confirm it belongs to you, and send account-related email
Password (stored only as a cryptographic hash — never in readable form) When you create an account with email and password To let you sign back in
Your name and email address from your Google account Only if you choose "Continue with Google" To create and identify your account. We request the minimum Google permissions needed to sign you in, and nothing else
Standard server logs, which may include IP address, browser type, and time of request Automatically, when your browser requests the site Security, abuse prevention, and keeping the service running
A one-way cryptographic hash of your IP address, plus a count — never the address itself When you run a calculator To cap how many calculations one visitor can run per hour, which is what stops automated scraping of our reference data. The hash cannot be reversed to an IP address, is not linked to your account, and is deleted within 24 hours

2. What we do not collect

We think this matters more than the list above, because it is the part people assume works the other way:

One consequence worth understanding: because we never hold your calculations, we cannot recover them for you if you clear your browser data or lose a saved file. Keep your own copies of anything you need.

A second consequence: the calculators need a working connection. If you are offline they will not run, and the page will tell you so rather than showing a wrong answer.

3. Browser storage

The site stores a small amount of data in your browser itself, using local storage. This stays on your device and is never transmitted to us. It holds your light/dark theme choice, an automatic draft of your most recent load calculation so you do not lose work on an accidental refresh, dismissed help banners, and — when you are signed in — your session token so you stay signed in between visits. Clearing your browser data removes all of it and signs you out.

4. Service providers

We use a small number of vendors to operate the site. They process data on our behalf under their own security and privacy commitments, and they are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.

ProviderRoleWhat it handles
SupabaseAccounts and databaseYour email address, password hash, and account record. Hosted in the United States
HostingerWebsite hostingServes the site files; standard server logs
GoogleOptional sign-inOnly if you choose "Continue with Google". Google's own privacy policy governs their handling of your Google account

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We may disclose information if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect our rights or someone's safety.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account exists. If you delete your account, we delete the associated account record. Server logs are retained for a limited period by our hosting providers for security purposes and then discarded.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation, including the right to know what is collected, to request deletion, and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Contact us and we will honor them.

7. Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are hashed by our authentication provider and are never stored or visible in readable form, including to us. That said, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children

Sage Calc is a professional engineering tool intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above. If a change materially affects how we handle your information, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you at your account email address.
